Cence works by analyzing your body's movement through your camera. That makes this the most important policy we have, so it's written to be read.
What we capture
- Pose landmarks — the estimated positions of body joints (shoulders, elbows, hips, knees) — during scans, training sessions, and competition attempts.
- Rep-level measurements derived from those landmarks: joint angles, rep counts, timing, and form verdicts against the published movement standards.
- For competition attempts only: the recorded attempt itself, including your scale-in-frame weigh-in, retained for verification, judging, and dispute review.
What we never do
- Derive your weight from the camera. Ever. A scale reading on camera is the only source of a verified weight in Cence.
- Calculate BMI. It's excluded from the product entirely.
- State body composition as a precise figure — ranges and trends only, always labeled as estimates.
- Use your camera without your explicit, screen-level consent, or sell biometric data to anyone.
Where processing happens
Training scans and the live rep counter process on your device. Competition attempts are uploaded because verification, judge grading, and dispute review require the recorded submission — that's stated at the point of entry, not buried here.
Withdrawing consent
You can withdraw camera consent in Settings at any time. Withdrawing disables scans, scored sessions, and competition entry, because those can't exist without the camera. Data already attached to a completed competition is retained for the dispute window, then handled per the Privacy Policy.
